So I have done some more research as promised, into using vinegar on the face. It seems as though the vinegar was too concentrared when I used it straight and it made my skin bright red. Here are some recipes that I have found where it is much more dilute:

Cleanser

2 oz liquid castile soap

2 oz liquid lecithin

1 tb Cider vinegar

10 drops essential oil (E.O.) of your choice

Blend ingredients in a blender, pour in a bottle and store. To use: pour a small amount in hand and massage into your face, and rinse off very well.

Astringent (to be used after cleansing for oily skin, not intended for blemishes)

1 oz Witch hazel

3 oz Rose Water

1 tsp Cider Vinegar

2 drops basil EO

1 drop peppermint EO

1 drop chamomile EO

If you try either of these recipes please come back and leave your comments. Thanks!

Also, if you are not into making your own products I would be happy to send you some already mixed up. These items are not yet in my webstore, but you can email me to order. Both come in 4oz glass bottles. The cleanser is $5.95 and the astringent is $6.95.
